Monster Puppets
Puppet design
An unsettling set of small, anthropomorphic puppets that gesture towards the monstrous feminine.
Concept
These handmade puppet figurines occupy a liminal space between dark fairytale artifact and critical design object. Rendered with jointed limbs, exaggerated anatomical features, and deliberately grotesque detailing, they resist the polished innocence of traditional children’s toys, instead embracing a raw aesthetic that speaks to abjection, hybridity, and the monstrous feminine. These are not puppets to entertain but to provoke. Each puppet is a speculative character in an unwritten fable.
